Hi, I was the one who wrote the reivew of the film. However, I could be wrong about the copyright. I assumed that the copyright might be bogus because retromedia, the distributer of the LBX version of the Ghost which the file came from, likes to do weird things with their releases sometimes. Theyve released many PD films, like "the manster", Battle Beyond the Sun, Grave of the Vampire, etc.
They came out with an uncut edition of Nightmare Castle, but sadly did a less than stellar job on it(picutre quality and such) and was not an official release anyway. Thinking about The Ghost however, I cant say Im sure, to be honest. I tried looking up copyrights of certain films, but uncertain of where to look now. Fellow memebers have posted info on CR issues but I can not remember what posts they were. I have some films of my own Id like to upload for guests and such, so Id be interested in any help. I visited and used the IA for a while, But am new at posting and such.

Hey, demonplanet, how are you? Yeah, it was your review that brought this to my attention, and I thank you for it. I always try to make sure my films are PD the best I can but if there's any question that I've put up a copyrighted movie I definitely want to check it out. I think the film in question is one of my earlier uploads from some time ago when I was putting up a lot of stuff fast. At that time I put up a lot of stuff that I thought was PD but it turned out quite a bit of it wasn't, so I did a purge and took out a lot of them. I thought I got them all but this might be one that slipped through the cracks. I'll wait until Video Cellar checks in to see what he thinks before I do anything drastic. Thanks again for the heads-up!
